Inside

Inside mount blinds will fit within the window casing for a clean, custom look.  Enter the actual size of your window casing, NOT the size of your old blind.  We will make the necessary deductions to make the blind fit properly.  Make sure your window meets the minimum inside mount specifications, or flush mount specifications if desired.

Outside mount blinds will be installed on the wall above the window, covering the window entirely.  Enter the size you want the finished product to be, including the desired overlap.  The ordered height will include the hardware for blinds and shades.  This option is required if your window is not deep enough to install the blind as an inside mount.

Standard cord lift with a cord lock mechanism for reliable and easy positioning of the blind.  Simply pull the cord to raise to the desired height, and the cord locks in place.  Pull the cord slightly to release and lower the blind.  Cord can be positioned on either side of the blind.

Rotates the horizontal slats open or closed by pulling up or down on either tilt cord.  The cord tilt option provides a uniform appearance to blinds ordered with standard cord lift.

Battery-powered motorized operation opens and closes the slats of the blind with the touch of a button.  Battery wand comes with 10" lead wire and wall mounting clips.  Radio frequency wireless system operates blinds within a 65-foot radius (no line of sight required) with your choice of remote control.  At least one control must be ordered to operate the blind; 1-Channel remotes operate all blinds on that channel at once.  5-Channel remotes operate up to five separate blinds or groups of blinds.

Certain rooms like bedrooms, bathrooms and media rooms can benefit from the added privacy and greater light control of routeless blinds.  Hidden notches replace the traditional routing holes that leak light, for tighter closure and a cleaner look.

Long Extension Brackets

Long Extension Brackets

For certain windows or doors, extension brackets will be needed (outside mount only) to create room for obstructions like door handles and window crank hardware.  These brackets allow the blind to operate properly. 
Note: When ordering extension brackets and a valance, the valance returns (the side pieces that cover the end of the headrail) may be made longer.  Order extension brackets only if the extra space is needed, or the valance may not properly fit the window.

Certain outside mount blinds will benefit from the use of hold down brackets, such as blinds for doors and windy locations.  Hold down brackets keep the fully lowered blind secured at the bottom rail, using small holes that snap into the bracket.  The blind must be unfastened to raise the shade.  Hold down brackets are designed only for outside mount use.

Used to add an extra inch of depth to the headrail when installing in order to avoid obstructions such as molding around a window.  Available for outside mount applications only.

"Second Purchase and pleased"

These are great blinds.  We priced these locally and feel that these are better quality for a lower price.  We purchased them for two sunny rooms to keep the heat out and they are working well for that.  I like the wide width b/c we can still crack them open and they let in plenty of light

Like the blinds.  A couple "tells" that we didn't spend thousands of dollars (rough cuts on the edges, for example) but, overall we are pleased.  Installation was pretty effortless.  The only thing I would really warn on is that they are HEAVY.  We find it is best to use a guiding hand in the middle of the blind when taking them up OR down.  Feels like the cord to lift them might snap otherwise and it helps to get the cord lock to release.  Oh, and we had to look installation instructions up at the Blindsgalore website because they were not included with the blinds.  The instructions could have better pictures.

"Beauty, with a few flaws"

These blinds look fabulous.  the installation was easy BUT I ordered a very wide blind, split with three section - wonderfully done - so the blind really needed one more bracket than was delivered.  Also, the turn-rod connector slightly worn and damaged the blind during the jostling of shipment.  I find that I can live with that given that they look so good installed and the rod installed covers the dent rather well.  Also, the valance was cut a bit longer than the blind and I had an inside mount.  the mount was a perfect size for the blind but the valance had to be cut slightly to fit inside the window frame.  Considering how good the blinds look for such an affordable price, I'm very happy.
