Inside

Inside mount blinds will fit within the window casing for a clean, custom look.  Enter the actual size of your window casing, NOT the size of your old blind.  We will make the necessary deductions to make the blind fit properly.  Make sure your window meets the minimum inside mount specifications, or flush mount specifications if desired.

Outside mount blinds will be installed on the wall above the window, covering the window entirely.  Enter the size you want the finished product to be, including the desired overlap.  The ordered height will include the hardware for blinds and shades.  This option is required if your window is not deep enough to install the blind as an inside mount.

Cordless for Wood Blinds

Cordless for Wood Blinds

Traditional cord lift with a locking mechanism for raising and lowering the blind.  Cord will lock the blind in place for easy positioning at any height.  Includes a break-away equalizer which separates if force is exerted from above to help alleviate an emergency situation should a child become entangled.  Always keep cords out of reach of children or select a cordless lift option when available.

The cordless lift option is just that - a way to raise and lower the blinds without a cord.  Simply push up or pull down on the bottom rail to effortlessly position the blind at any height (be sure you can reach all heights you wish to raise the blind to).  Cordless operation also means child safety - pair this option with wand tilt for a completely cordless blind for the maximum protection for small children and pets.  Not available with routeless or cloth tapes options.

Tilt cords can be positioned on either side of the blind for rotating the slats of the blind open or closed or any position in between.  Cord tilt offers a uniform appearance when selected with cord lift, and can provide tighter closure than wand tilt.

The wand can be twisted to rotate the slats of the blind open or closed.  Can be used for a more traditional look.

Rotate the slats of your blind open or closed with the simple push of a button.  Motorized tilt control features wireless remote operation, especially suited for hard to reach windows.  The premium Somfy motor is located inside the headrail, with 8 AA lithium batteries included.  Batteries are easily replaced.  Select at least one remote control to operate your blinds.  The 1-channel remote will operate all blinds simultaneously, or the 5-channel remote can operate up to five individual or groups of blinds.

Instead of holes through the middle of the slats, routeless blinds have notches at the back of the slat for the cords to run through.  This gives a sleeker look to the blind, and eliminates the extra light seepage and decreased privacy typically associated with regular route holes.

Extension Brackets

Extension Brackets

Extension brackets (outside mount only) are available for windows with obstructions such as door handles.  These brackets offer the extra projection needed to clear the obstruction so the blind operates correctly.
If the blind also includes a valance, please note that the returns on the valance (the sides of the valance that cover the ends of the headrail) may be made longer because of the extension bracket.  Order extension brackets only if the extra clearance is needed, otherwise, the valance may fit improperly.

To eliminate the swaying of blinds installed on doors or in windy locations, we recommend the use of hold down brackets.  These brackets snap into holes on the bottom rail of the blind when it is in the fully lowered position.  To raise the blind, it must be unfastened from the bracket.  Hold downs are available only for outside mount shades.

Used to add a small amount of extra depth to the headrail when installing in order to avoid obstructions such as molding around a window.  Available for outside mount applications only.

"Perfect"

I was nervous about ordering wood blinds online, but I had purchased from blindsgalore before, so I went for it.  Best decision ever!  I ordered samples, picked my color, and waited for a discount.  I had a few issues getting the blinds level (to match the lines in my window), but the end product is absolutely beautiful.  The magnetic valance clips are genius and the bottom of the blinds is a thicker decorative wood molding.  I couldn't be happier.  Buy with confidence!
