The Blindsgalore Solar Screen collection blocks the bright light and damaging UV rays while still maintaining a clear view to the outside.  The 5% openness fabric is composed of a combination of PVC-coated fiberglass and polyester yarns, each with a low light blocking and high view-through rate.  Customize your solar screen with a variety of neutral colors, plus a multitude of upgrades available including mount, lift, roll style, bar option and valence return options.

Note: For proper operation, the fabric on the shade delivered to your door will be up to 1½" narrower than the ordered width, as light seepage on both sides of the shade is inherent to the design of roller shades.  To avoid light seepage, order the shade as an outside mount.

Inside

Inside mount blinds will fit within the window casing for a clean, custom look.  Enter the actual size of your window casing, NOT the size of your old blind.  We will make the necessary deductions to make the blind fit properly.  Make sure your window meets the minimum inside mount specifications, or flush mount specifications if desired.

Outside mount blinds will be installed on the wall above the window, covering the window entirely.  Enter the size you want the finished product to be, including the desired overlap.  The ordered height will include the hardware for blinds and shades.  This option is required if your window is not deep enough to install the blind as an inside mount.

Continuous Cord (Solar Shade)

A continuous cord loop and clutch assembly that provides the mechanical advantage needed to raise large shades.  Cord loop remains the same length, regardless of shade position.

Roller provides convenient spring action to retract and lower shade.

Note: shades with a spring roller will be made with the fabric up to 1" narrower than the width ordered, creating a 1/2" light gap on each side.  For best light control, select an outside mount and/or standard roll (instead of reverse roll).

Standard Roll

Fabric rolls off the front of the shade, hiding the fabric roll.  The fabric on a standard roll shade comes off the back of the roll, which exposes both the roll and the back of the fabric.  Reverse roll shades may offer less light control because the fabric hangs further from the window glass.

Fabric rolls off the back of the shade, allowing the fabric to hang closer to the window for optimal light control.  The back of the fabric will be visible on the roll.

"VERY satisfied!"

We bought these screens for our french doors in the kitchen, which are used quite often to let our dog in and out.  We absolutely love them - they keep the bright sun out, but let lots of light in and allow us to see outside.  The fabric is easy to clean and lies flat against the door - the screens don't slam against the doors when they open and close!  We are very happy with these screens and would highly recommend them!

I actually bought 5 solar shades each 57" width by 72" length for our emclosed patio.  They were all outside mount and the width from tip to tip were exact to my measurements.  They showed up as promised.

"Great Choice"

I really have been enjoying my new shades!  It was a bit difficult and tiring getting them up but once they were; they blended so well with the room and paint, nice to see outside but yet providing shade from the heat and rays from the sun too.  Ordered without speaking to a representative because this website was very easy to understand and manuever.  Received my shades in the alloted time and was pleased with the shades and box condition.  I looked at other sites but liked the choices with Blindsgalore much better and felt that they provided me with my and quot;Great Choice and quot;!
