Cordless lift is an option you can choose on most blinds and shades. The normal lift cords are removed and replaced with a mechanism in the headrail that allows you to effortlessly raise or lower the blind or shade by pulling or pushing on the bottomrail – basically the bottomrail will stay wherever you put it. Cordless lift makes operating your blind or shade easy. No more fiddling with cords.
Besides ease of use, cordless window treatments offer a clean, uncluttered look. So, whether it’s the contemporary looks of horizontal blinds or the more elegant looks of fabric shades, choosing the cordless lift option will offer clean lines and a tidier decor.
Cordless window treatments are available on the following blind and shade types: cellular shades, wood blinds, woven wood shades, roman shades, mini blinds, roller shades, solar screens and pleated shades. While the cordless option makes sense for any one of these window treatment types, some of the more popular choices are cordless cellular shades and cordless roman shades.
Please note that window blinds with the cordless lift option will need to have a wand to tilt the slats open and closed. The cordless option is for lift only.
If you are interested in choosing the cordless option for your next window treatments purchase, please also keep in mind that you should only choose cordless for windows with easy access and where you can comfortably raise or lower the blind or shade by hand.
