French Door Blinds, Window Treatments & Shades
- Consider door shape and position of handles
- Pick shallow treatments that hang close to the door
- 1" wood blinds and roller shades are ideal
- Hold down brackets are good for regularly shut shades
- Choose cordless for a sleek look and easy control
French doors have decorative handles that could interfere with the operation of door blinds or shades, so you'll want to choose a window treatment that is not very deep with an outside mount. If you plan on regularly raising and lowering your shade, go cordless to avoid getting cords tangled up on the door handle while also increasing child and pet safety. If you plan on leaving the shade down, you should select the hold down brackets when customizing your blind. These are installed on the door to keep the bottom of the shade in place.
customer reviews for french doors
By Liz from Farmingdale NJ
I bought a 120" cornice for a living room window. When it arrived (earlier than promised!) it was the wrong depth. I called customer service and they immediately ordered a replacement. They didn't even want the first one back, just asked that it went to a good home! Shipped safely, quickly, excellent quality and looks fabulous.View this product
"I LOVE LOVE my cornice boards"
By Happy Girl from Rochester, NY
We are thrilled with our cornice boards. They are made well and are exactly as ordered. The fabric selection included one of the very same patterns we had picked out of a fabric book. They look fantastic in our new living room. We have already recommended Blindsgalore.com to a number of friends and neighbors, including our interior designer. Thank you for a beautiful and affordable product.View this product
