"Directions Not Correct"

This shade was to be used on a skylight and I purchased it with an inside mount with the frame and long pole. The clip that holds the shade at the top is shown in the wrong direction on the information sheet. When the shade is installed you cannot put in the top screw on both sides of the side channels. Adjusting the tension so that the shade does not fall down by itself was also not clear in the instructions.

"Wise purchase"

We added the sunshades to an addition on the south side of our house. This home is passive solar and we had an overhang that blocked the sun at the appropiate times. Our new sunroom had skylights added and we lost the overhang. I added the skylight shade that was installed by the builder. We have 5 skylights, two open and the other three are fixed. The opening of the skylight is not square but angled down. I had measured according to the directions but due to the angles involved in the skylight constuction and the cranks to open two of them we needed longer distance for those frames. We made it work but it took some thought. The measuring process is somewhat simplified but when measuring take into account these type of contingencies or call for more specific guidance prior to ordering. The shades work well to prevent overheating in our room, are attractive and easy to use.
