First and foremost, no cords means no entanglement risk to children and pets.  An added benefit is that cordless cellular blinds eliminate the visual clutter of rods or cords, and replace them with...nothing!  Simply grasp the bottom of the blind and move it up or down to the desired position - that's it!  Cordless cellular shades are also very consistent visually - no strings, holes or gaps.

Cordless cellular shades - things to consider

Because cordless cellular window shades operate by gently pushing up or pulling down on the bottom rail of the shade, it's important to make sure you will be able to reach as high or as low as you will need to position the shade.  For especially high or hard to reach windows where you will want to open and close the shade frequently, cords or a remote control may work better.  For blinds in easy reach, cordless is hard to beat for simple function.

Single Cell or Double cell

Our cordless honeycomb shades are available in single cell and double cell.  Double cell cellular shades have two layers of honeycomb air cells for maximum insulation.  Which you choose depends on how much insulation you require.  For very cold or hot environments, we recommend double cell honeycomb shades as they will provide the highest level of insulation.  Whichever you choose, cellular shades will help lower your heating and cooling bills.

Light Control

Our cordless cellular shades come in a range of opacities (how much light is transmitted through the fabric) including, sheer, semi-opaque and opaque.  If you want lots of natural light, choose sheer cellular shades.  If you want greater light control and privacy, choose semi-opaque.  For maximum room darkening, including blackout, choose the opaque cellular shades.  With such a versatile range of light control options, cellular shades can be used in every room in your home.  Please note that sheer cellular shades are not available in double cell.

Cordless Cellular Blinds?

Technically speaking, cellular shades, cordless or any other, are a type of window shade, not a blind.  Though many people call cellular shades, cellular blinds and honeycomb blinds; Blinds have slats or vanes, that tilt open and closed.  Window shades are made from a single piece of fabric and fold up, or roll up.  Cellular shades fold up, collapsing up on their crisp pleats like an accordion.
