"Good blinds; bad instructions"
By JVNW from Portland, Oregon
While the quality of the panel track product was generally as expected, the product information and instructions were extremely inadequate considering the price of the blinds. There was a package of hardware, but no list detailing what hardware should be there. There were two sizes of screws, but no indication of what went where and we eventually discovered we were missing one of the larger size screw. And it was difficult to figure out the attaching mechanisms from the small almost incidental drawings -- actual photos would have helped. We went to the pdf of instructions from the website for these binds and it showed a different attaching assembly/mechanism, so it was no help either. There was also no detailed packing list for the overall package -- just three items listed with numbers that made no sense because there was no description. It would help immensely if BG would include: detailed descriptive packing list so you'd know if something was missing; more detailed instructions and illustrations about how the attaching brackets go together and attach to the wall; photos of what the pieces look like before and after installation; instructions that match the hardware parts; and possibly an overview of how panel tracks work. It took several hours to install these and we felt we were figuring it out from scratch. BG or Comfortex should invest in better documentation including photos and better diagrams of how the parts go together and attach. These panel tracks were not necessarily difficult to install, but it was difficult having to figure it out basically from scratch.View this product
