Blinds and shades that have a vertical orientation will draw or close from side to side instead of up and down. The blind or shade material moves along a track installed at the top of the window. Traditional vertical blinds, panel track blinds, vertical cellular shades, and sheer vertical blinds are all considered to be vertically oriented window treatments. By nature, these types of blinds are suited to larger windows, such as patio doors, although any window that is wider than taller will usually look good with a vertically oriented blind. Many of these blinds will coordinate to horizontally oriented blinds and shades to give you a complete look in rooms with mixed window types.
