Top Five Quick Fixes for Your Blinds or Shades

1. Stuck Vertical Blinds

Make sure all of your slats are facing the same way and not tucked behind each other. Once the slats are uniform, slide the blinds open and closed several times to remove any debris from the tracks.

2. Broken Slats on a Vertical Blind

If the slat has ripped or cracked, flip it upside down and punch a new hole onto the opposite side with a hole punch. You can also attach a paper clip to the top of the blinds to help seal any cracks.

3. Cord Tilt Horizontal Blinds Won’t Open

Remove your blinds from the wall and follow the cord tilt string up to a small roller wheel inside the headrail. Simply recenter any loose string onto the roller wheel, just like restringing a yo-yo.

4. Fix a Continuous Cord Loop on Roller Shades

Take the Roller Shade from the wall and lay it on a flat surface. Remove the plastic endcap on the side of the cord loop chain. Reinsert the beads onto the small gear, making sure they catch. Replace the end cap.

5. Roller Shades Telescope When Raised

Roll the shades as far down as possible. Add a piece of tape on the opposite side of where the material gathers. Roll the shades back up. Also ensure that your brackets don't hit your shade as it rolls up/down.
