While I lament losing the long days of summer, my spirit is hopeful for the return of fall. Fall is my favorite of the four seasons with its brisk sweater weather, the distinct aroma of a fresh campfire and an explosion of color gracing the tree line. The autumn season holds such a special place in my heart and in my home. From fall trends that call for small touches to total home transformations, it\u2019s time to embrace your space and cozy up for the cold days ahead.<\/p>\n

The New Neutrals<\/h2>\n

We’re seeing a beautiful evolution in the world of neutrals. In the past few years, there\u2019s been a lot of neutral layering. Barely a hint of hue. This fall, we want to introduce subtle, earthy accents to breathe life into your space. Say goodbye to those stark, cool greys. Warm neutrals are taking center stage, with mid-tone browns bridging the gap between the lighter shades.<\/p>\n

Sage, olive, vintage denim, dijon, blush and marsala are the colors to watch. These hues are perfect for creating a calm, cozy atmosphere while still nodding to the season\u2019s natural beauty. With such an intriguing pallete to choose from, how do you best introduce them into your space? It comes down to your room\u2019s base color and your existing palette.<\/p>\n

It wouldn\u2019t be fall without pumpkins. Pumpkins are readily available at grocers and street stands during this season in a good selection of sizes. Try a mixture of sizing for a more interesting tablescape or mantel. Don\u2019t limit yourself to orange, either. A combination of colors creates just the right amount of fall flair without being overwhelming.<\/p>\n
