In the heat of Arizona, many homeowners shy away from the warmer colors for home d\u00e9cor, opting instead for cool whites and neutrals. But we suggest pairing this year\u2019s hottest color, Tangerine<\/a> with its opposite, aqua for a fantastic color combination that is on-trend and beautiful when done well.<\/p>\n

Pantone named Tangerine Tango as its color of the year for 2012, and we love it used as an accent which works great with crisp white, off white and cool greens. Window shades and drapes are a great way to bring in these accent colors, especially roman shades<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Finding orange-colored window coverings can be a bit difficult, so it may be easier to find other home d\u00e9cor accent pieces in that color and opt instead for aqua-colored blinds or shades.<\/a> Or, you can bring in these colors by painting an accent wall for a real punch of color and use neutral window treatments<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Speaking of paint, we think you\u2019ll love this great tool<\/a> so you don\u2019t make a mistake when you choose your color. Here\u2019s another neat trick: You can also buy a quart of the color you are considering (and some stores even have smaller sample tester sizes), paint a poster board, and hang it on the wall. Those tiny paint swatches are just too small to be able to tell what it will look like on the wall.
