With beach trips, cookouts, campouts and everything in-between, here are my top seven ways to keep your cool this summer!<\/p>\n

1. Check dangling cords.<\/h2>\n

You don’t want any kids or pets bustling around your home to get all tangled up in your blinds.<\/p>\n

\"Check<\/p>\n

2. Keep yourself cool.<\/h2>\n

Cover your windows for some shade and remember to dress in lightweight or lightly colored clothes to stay cool.<\/p>\n

\"Keep<\/p>\n

3. Put away the spray.<\/h2>\n

Bugs can be annoying and the sun is dangerous, but so are these chemical sprays when in the wrong hands.<\/p>\n

\"Put<\/p>\n

4. Be water wise.<\/h2>\n

Pools can be a great way to escape the heat, but be sure to supervise younger swimmers to keep them safe.<\/p>\n

\"Be<\/p>\n

5. Stay grounded.<\/h2>\n

Keep climb-able furniture away from windows and dangerous places so kids can avoid these risks while playing.<\/p>\n

\"Stay<\/p>\n

6. Get hydrated.<\/h2>\n

Water is the best way to quench your thirst during hot days and it\u2019s a much smarter choice than neon, sugary drinks.<\/p>\n

7. Keep busy.<\/h2>\n

Ditch the iPad in favor for more \u201csummer\u201d activities like camping, swimming, picnicking, or even arts & crafts.<\/p>\n
