Privacy blinds and shades are opaque, or non-transparent, enough to prevent view-through, even when backlit. Perfect for rooms facing the street or a neighbor, privacy shades or routeless blinds are perfect for keeping the inside of your home hidden. Some blind styles, such as woven woods, will require an added privacy liner to provide the extra opacity needed. We also recommend choosing a top down/bottom up lift option or layering your treatments, like a faux wood combined with drapery, to best balance your light control and privacy needs. While these products will block view-through, they will not necessarily block all light like our blackout shades.

"Great Blinds comparable to the name brands"

By from Naples,FL

These cellular shades are similar to the semi-custom shades sold by Bali at the big box stores. Blindsgalore makes choosing the right shades easy by providing timely delivered free samples and a variety of shade options. We were a bit apprehensive ordering sight unseen, but once the 1st order arrived we could see that the quality was great. Suggestions: * Absolutely order fabric samples 1st. They are free and arrive in about a week. The colors on the website simply can't compare to having an actual fabric sample in-hand. This is especially true because the blackout has a liner that can't be displayed on the website and there are single-and double cell versions of the same colors that look different in real life. * Measure, measure, and measure again. For inside mounts the width is critical. Measure the exact opening, not the desired width. For the length we chose to get a slightly longer shade +4" so that it wouldn't stretch out to the max. Better to be a little long in the length rather than too short. * Be aware that the shipping time from the order date takes a while.

"Perfect Shade"

By leamm from Michigan

These shades are perfect for sliding glass doors. No light gets through and the material holds the heat in and seems to keep the cold out (Michigan). I haven't had them through the summer yet. We had some difficulty with installing. I thought the instructions for using the extenders were lacking - pictures are not always fully explanatory. Also, getting the cord in place was very difficult as there was NO give at the end to allow placement of the cord holders. It took about 2 hours to install, but is successfully in place and doing our sliding glass door justice. Thank you
