Blackout Shades & Blinds

  • Best choice for complete darkness
  • Blocks 99% of incoming light
  • Great for bedrooms and home theaters
  • Tight-fitting inside mounts block the most light
  • Many styles to darken your space

Blackout shades and blinds block nearly all incoming light with cellular shade, roman shade, roller shade, woven wood, pleated shade, panel track and skylight choices. Although sometimes called Blackout Blinds, a light blocking blackout effect is best achieved with shades, as they block the most light with a tight-fitting inside-mounted opaque shade. Blackout Shades eliminate maximum light seepage with specially woven material or with the addition of a liner to create a darker space than the subtler Room Darkening Shades. Custom blackout blinds provide the darkest blackout experience available.

"Good deal"

By from

We had purchased the top up/bottom down blinds a few years ago for our kitchen so we came back to buy blackout curtains for our bedroom.  Ordering, service, product are all fine and easy.  With so many options, it takes a while to figure out what will work, but they do indeed work fine.  One issue with the blackout curtains is that they REALLY work to keep it dark.  I kind of regret using them for our guest bedroom since often I like to see some light filter through.  You get what you ask for.

"Great Warranty Service"

By from Denver, CO

I bought this as a cordless blind 2 years ago.  One of the interior cords frayed through in the headrail and broke.  I called Blindsgalore and explained the problem.  They got the manufacturer on the phone who decided they would replace the blind under warranty.  We received the replacement blind a couple of weeks later as promised.  We were quite pleased with the entire experience.
