I was nervous about ordering wood blinds online, but I had purchased from blindsgalore before, so I went for it. Best decision ever! I ordered samples, picked my color, and waited for a discount. I had a few issues getting the blinds level (to match the lines in my window), but the end product is absolutely beautiful. The magnetic valance clips are genius and the bottom of the blinds is a thicker decorative wood molding. I couldn't be happier. Buy with confidence!

We moved into a small condo and wanted to protect our privacy as well as our new hard wood floors from sun damage, so we called the "professionals". They came, measured and 3 weeks later they installed our new "silhouette" blinds. Perfect, beautiful, just what we wanted. But for that kind of money, we would never be able to afford to cover all of our windows in a timely fashion. After receiving several color samples from Blindsgalore, we decided to get the Good Housekeeping brand of the same looking product for more than a 50% savings! And then we got them on a day when they were on sale and got an additional 48% off! I mean, that's some money!! The color matches PERFECTLY to the other's we had previously bought. We did not get absolute blackout capability with any of our blinds, we just got room darkening which is quite different. So if you want a very dark room don't get these. But if you want to be able to pull them up all the way out of the view, you can. If you want a little more of a private view or to block the sun, open them to the desired angle. If you want total privacy, close them up! They act just like venetian blinds but have sheers on the inside and the outside for more privacy. We absolutely love them! And when they are closed in the day, they look very modern with the lines going horizontally. We wanted that so we did not put up window treatments beyond the blinds. Also, when you receive them don't be bummed-out if there appears to be a large gap on each side. The gap gives room for the pulley type mechanism to work. They all have that, even the expensive ones. But from outside, nothing is visible. My husband meausred and hung them in no time at all. The packaging was tremendous and they arrived quickly and on time. All parts were included. We would highly recommend them to anybody who likes to have a choice of privacy. We absolutely LOVE our Good Housekeeping sheer shades and have received many compliments on how great they look.
