You will want to prioritize your needs, but you should also consider privacy, light control, insulation and operation when choosing your blinds.

When choosing window blinds for an RV, you'll want to decide how much light control and privacy you want to have. Different types of blinds and shades can do this in different ways. Traditional horizontal blinds like mini blinds, wood blinds and faux wood blinds have slats that can be rotated to open, partly open and fully closed positions, providing a wide range of light control options while still providing complete privacy. Many people like this traditional type of blind. You should order these as outside mount and consider adding hold down brackets to keep the bottom of the blinds in place (although you would have to remove them to raise up the blind).
Fabric shades are another option, and come in a wide range of colors, styles and opacities. Semi-opaque fabrics will filter light and provide privacy during the day, but at night they may show shadows through the shade to the outside. Order a fabric sample to be sure. To maximize privacy, you can also consider a blackout fabric - but as the name implies, these shades don't allow in any light (day or night). If ordering a pleated shade or woven wood shade, you can increase the privacy and light control by adding a liner to the back of the shade. This will also provide a more neutral appearance to the outside. As with horizontal blinds, order fabric shades as outside mount. Since shades need to be raised to allow in full sunlight, you should only order hold down brackets if you plan on keeping the shades down nearly all of the time.

Another feature of most fabric shades is the ability to order them with cordless lift - this eliminates the dangling cords that can puddle on the window sills, tables and counters in your RV and trailer and that pose a safety hazard for small children. Top down/bottom up is another great feature of fabric shades that allow you to lower the shade from the top, raise it from the bottom, or both. This is a great choice to allow light into your motorhome without compromising privacy. Top down/bottom up will have two lift cords, or you can choose cordless top down/bottom up and get this great feature cord-free!
Insulation is the last thing to consider, and nothing insulates your RV better than cellular shades. The unique honeycomb design of cellular shades insulates against outside temperature (hot or cold), making your RV more comfortable and saving you on cooling and heating costs.
