When you want it all in a Sheer Shade, choose Good Housekeeping Sheer Shadings in the 3" Room Darkening fabric.  This shade offers all the elegance and view of a sheer fabric shade when open, combined with light blocking and privacy fabric vanes when closed.  The 3" size is best for large windows with enough depth to accommodate mounting the shade inside the casing.  Good Housekeeping created these Sheer Shades using the quality and safety standards of its Research Institute.  Each Sheer Shade is backed by its Limited Lifetime Warranty and Good Housekeeping Seal.  Note: To operate properly, your sheer shade may be made up to 1 1/4" narrower than the size you order, creating a 5/8" light gap on each side.

Inside mount blinds will fit within the window casing for a clean, custom look.  Enter the actual size of your window casing, NOT the size of your old blind.  We will make the necessary deductions to make the blind fit properly.  Make sure your window meets the minimum inside mount specifications, or flush mount specifications if desired.

Outside mount blinds will be installed on the wall above the window, covering the window entirely.  Enter the size you want the finished product to be, including the desired overlap.  The ordered height will include the hardware for blinds and shades.  This option is required if your window is not deep enough to install the blind as an inside mount.

Continuous Cord UltraSleek Plus Headrail

Loop and clutch system easily positions shade at any height.  Cord loop stays the same length regardless of shade position.  Easily raises even large shades.  Headrail system conceals the fabric roll and provides a finished look.

Battery-powered motorized operation opens and closes blinds with the touch of a button.  An internal limit stop protects the motors and slats from damage.  One remote control (required) operates multiple blinds.  Remote uses convenient radio frequency technology to operate blinds without requiring line-of-sight.  1-Channel remote control operates multiple shades together.  5-Channel remote operates up to five seperate shades.

Extension Brackets

Extension Brackets

For certain windows or doors, extension brackets will be needed (outside mount only) to create room for obstructions like door handles and window crank hardware.  These brackets allow the blind to operate properly.

Certain outside mount blinds will benefit from the use of hold down brackets, such as blinds for doors and windy locations.  Hold down brackets keep the fully lowered blind secured at the bottom rail, using small holes that snap into the bracket.  The blind must be unfastened to raise the shade.  Hold down brackets are designed only for outside mount use.

Used to add a small amount of extra depth to the headrail when installing in order to avoid obstructions such as molding around a window.  Available for outside mount applications only.

"JUST LIKE THE BIG NAMED BRAND!"

We moved into a small condo and wanted to protect our privacy as well as our new hard wood floors from sun damage, so we called the "professionals".  They came, measured and 3 weeks later they installed our new "silhouette" blinds.  Perfect, beautiful, just what we wanted.  But for that kind of money, we would never be able to afford to cover all of our windows in a timely fashion.  After receiving several color samples from Blindsgalore, we decided to get the Good Housekeeping brand of the same looking product for more than a 50% savings!  And then we got them on a day when they were on sale and got an additional 48% off!  I mean, that's some money!!  The color matches PERFECTLY to the other's we had previously bought.  We did not get absolute blackout capability with any of our blinds, we just got room darkening which is quite different.  So if you want a very dark room don't get these.  But if you want to be able to pull them up all the way out of the view, you can.  If you want a little more of a private view or to block the sun, open them to the desired angle.  If you want total privacy, close them up!  They act just like venetian blinds but have sheers on the inside and the outside for more privacy.  We absolutely love them!  And when they are closed in the day, they look very modern with the lines going horizontally.  We wanted that so we did not put up window treatments beyond the blinds.  Also, when you receive them don't be bummed-out if there appears to be a large gap on each side.  The gap gives room for the pulley type mechanism to work.  They all have that, even the expensive ones.  But from outside, nothing is visible.  My husband meausred and hung them in no time at all.  The packaging was tremendous and they arrived quickly and on time.  All parts were included.  We would highly recommend them to anybody who likes to have a choice of privacy.  We absolutely LOVE our Good Housekeeping sheer shades and have received many compliments on how great they look.
