Solar screens, also called solar shades, are a type of roller window shade generally made from a synthetic mesh fabric, like a screen. Solar window shades come in different levels of opaqueness, or openness, depending on how much light control you desire - the higher the percentage of openness of the solar shade, the more light the shade lets in. Solar shades are an excellent option for windows with a view. Solar screens reduce glare and improve energy efficiency by reducing solar heat gain and blocking harmful UV rays.

"Liked so much, I reordered more"

These solar shades are great and shipped very fast. I like the shades because they block the blinding evening sun yet we still have our beautiful view. I have ordered 2 different colors and was happy with each. I have both the casette system and the plain standard roll. I think the cassette system looks much more finished and professional. It''s a few dollars more to get it, but in my opinion, worth every penny. Both are super easy to install, all you need is a drill and screwdriver. A tape measure is also helpful. I''m a busy tired mom with a newborn and installed these in the few spare moments I have between baby feedings, washing bottles, etc. It''s so easy and the results are great. Highly recommend. BTW - I have ordered from Blindsgalore to fully furnish three homes worth of windows now. Love the customer service and you can''t beat their prices.

We had existing solar screen roller shades from a different company and needed more. I think this other company prefers larger projects than our small office because they never called back with a quote. Finally I looked online for other options, found Blindsgalore, got some samples, placed my order, installed the shades. We couldn''t be happier! They look great! Since they are in different rooms than the other roller shades, no one notices that they are not the same manufacturer. These were very easy to install. My only complaint... that I waited so long to look for other options.
