Go Natural With Woven Woods

If artisanal, natural, casual and handwoven resonate with your style of living, Woven Wood window treatments will give your home a global, organic look. Woven Wood Shades are crafted with natural materials of hand-split bamboo, reeds, grasses, rattan and jute, accentuated with the textural imperfection that only nature provides. These unique and luxe grass weave designs are carefully hand loomed and expertly spun from sustainable materials to reflect a craft that has been perfected through many generations. Be assured that most of these natural materials are made from sustainable products that are fast growing and can be harvested in five years. The root systems remain intact so new shoots can sprout quickly and soil erosion is prevented. With Woven Wood Shades, your home is instantly transported to any exotic place in your mind with a light but inviting look.

Wovens For All

I think Woven Wood window treatments are for all seasons, for all styles and for all rooms. With a rich selection of dark earth tones to white, off white, bone and gray, the weaves are visually striking. From sun rooms to kitchens to bedrooms to beachy or cottage rooms to woodsy and traditional or rustic or modern and eclectic, Woven Wood Blinds turn ordinary windows into a design statement. These versatile blinds can even be formal when combined with Fabric Drapery or Drapery Panels. Woven Wood Blinds are a beautiful ode to the outdoors, softly filtering in light through translucent patterns.

Win With Wovens

Wovens do come in a variety of styles from Roman Shades to Panel Tracks and even a Natural Drape. If you need to block the light or require more privacy, choose from a black out liner or light filtering liner and I always choose a cordless lift option for safety and style. Go for motorized window treatments for a completely effortless and modern window treatment. Liners do extend the life of your shade, prevent fading and reduce energy costs. To give you both that fabulous light and needed privacy, top down bottom up is for you. Of course, all sizes and shapes are available as our window treatments are customized for each and every window- wide, big, bay, tall, tiny- Blindsgalore can cover just about any window, anywhere!

Waterfall Wovens

Roman Woven Wood Blinds are our most popular design and when it comes to mounting this shade, decorative valances are a traditional choice to conceal the headrail and the hardware. The relaxed folds stack softly into the window. However, to be on trend and to give you a more modern and fresh new look, choose the “waterfall” option which eliminates the valance. A waterfall shade is defined by the textured material hanging on the front of the headrail instead of the outside, hiding the hardware, creating a clean, flat front finish. This allows the natural material to flow down the window, enhancing the textural elements of the shade to take center stage without embellishment.

Woven Accents

For the finishing touch to your new Woven Wood Shades, frame these shades with an edge banding in a bold color for contrast or for a subtle look, choose a similar neutral color. A sewn-edge binding offers you another chance for decoration and a clean line, in addition, to protecting the material from damage from normal wear and tear. Decorative hems are also available on valances. If you need to add flair, it is there.

To my design eye, the nubby and open weaves, along with the innate beauty of natural, organic rattan, bamboo and reeds, uniquely showcase the beauty and enduring look of these handcrafted Woven Wood window treatments. This sustainable, conscious style with a serene but singular design will instantly add warmth to your home.
