Heaven In A Cup

Now that Winter still has its fierce grip on us, take the time to warm up with an indulgent cup of hot chocolate.

 

A classic cup of hot cocoa made from the best chocolate is a way to refuel for all the tasks ahead and will kick-start your New Year’s resolutions with renewed energy.

 

 

My favorite recipe makes 8 cups of the best smooth and creamy hot chocolate ever.

CLASSIC HOT CHOCOLATE

1 pound bittersweet or semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped (the better the chocolate, the better the taste)

7 cups of whole milk

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

pinch of Kosher salt

Simmer the milk and the cream in a small pan over low heat.  Whisk in the chocolate, sugar, vanilla extract and salt. Heat until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth. Pour into preheated cups and top with homemade marshmallows.

Now you are in heaven!
