Green has been on my mind as the holiday season is in full swing and green Christmas trees, stockings, tinsel and ornaments are overloading my senses. To give you a break from the pressures of holiday baking, gift shopping and wrapping and decorating, I have put together a short history about “green blinds” that might take your mind off the holiday stress.
Many of our handcrafted, natural blinds and shades have a long and storied history and have evolved from many organic materials, dating back to the Egyptians. Energy efficient and sustainable products are not an invention of today’s world, but were an integral design component in window coverings for centuries.
