Home for all of us at Blindsgalore strikes a deep chord of comfort and solace and becomes not only our shelter, but where we belong to strengthen, deepen and preserve family connections. We know that many people struggle to find refuge in a safe and happy place. Blindsgalore is proud to be part of Habitat for Humanity in providing free window coverings to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in San Diego, which is a home improvement retail center that sells very affordable deals on donated building materials and home building supplies to promote better homes for San Diego families. Our donated window coverings are also installed directly in newly built homes and homes in need of repair. As Lori Pfeiler, CEO of Habitat for Humanity, wrote to us: “We are grateful for the generous gift of various blinds which enable us to fulfill our mission of building homes, community and hope.”
Our continuing relationship with Habitat for Humanity is strong and enduring as Blindsgalore is committed to serving our local community. We furnish Habitat for Humanity weekly with our quality window treatments to support good homes for everyone. Alissa, our CEO and Lori, Habitat’s CEO, take pride in the strength of doing
good work.
Blindsgalore takes special pride in being able to donate the majority of our customer-returned window coverings to the Habitat’s Restore. To date we have given over 2,500 high quality blinds and shades to help further the completion of new homes being built in San Diego, our hometown. Sales at the Restore generate the funds to support all the good works that Habitat for Humanity does for our low-income families and individuals in need of a home. Blindsgalore is currently Habitat’s exclusive ongoing provider of window treatments in San Diego. Our partnership with Habitat for Humanity since September of 2016, has created a special bond of good works as we continue to contribute a high-end custom product to cover the windows in so many homes of hard-working families, striving to create good lives with little means.
