What Are Cafe Curtains And Cafe Shutters?

When I think of a cafe, I imagine plenty of natural light to let me go about my work, but also enough glare control that I’m not squinting at my computer screen or book. Cafe curtains do just that. Consisting of short curtains hanging across a rod in the middle of the window instead of at the top, they simultaneously let sunlight in while also creating privacy and glare control on the bottom half of the window. Semi-private by nature, cafe curtains are stylish yet casual, making them a great option for kitchens and dining rooms. Tie them back or simply draw them to let in optimal sunlight whenever you wish.

Cafe shutters are similar to cafe curtains in that they only cover the bottom half of the window. As the name suggests, cafe shutters are just like regular shutters, except they only cover the bottom of the window while the top is left open. This is a stylish option that adds architectural interest to your home while still leaving your window partially exposed. Because your entire window is not covered, save cafe shutters and curtains only for those rooms where total privacy is not necessary.
