All of us at Blindsgalore hope that you grab all the brightness of the season as we anticipate the frosty, wintry days ahead.
To ease into the bittersweet days upon us, one of my favorite poets, Mary Oliver, beautifully invokes our feelings as this year comes to a close.

Lines Written In The Days Of Growing Darkness
Every year we have been
witness to it: how the
world descendsInto a rich mash, in order that
it may resume.
And therefore
who could cry outto the petals on the ground
to say,
knowing, as we must,
how the vivacity of what was is marriedto the vitality of what will be?
I don’t say
it’s easy, but
what else will doIf the love one claims to have for the world
be true?
So let us go onthrough the sun be swinging east,
and the ponds be cold and black,
and the sweets of the year be doomed.*Mary Oliver
Capture the essence of our celebrations to lighten what lies ahead. In these days of growing darkness, let your inner brightness guide the way and let your love for the world shine. Find solace in your loved ones and let their warmth comfort you this holiday season.
Wishing you happy days, always.
