Blue always ranks as our favorite color and no wonder as this color combo replicates the serene mood of azure skies layered with billowy clouds or glittering cerulean waves gently rippling along a white pristine beach. Imagining that color palette immediately evokes soothing and restful feelings. For many of us, that is exactly the aura we want to replicate in our homes and a hue that dates back to the 9th Century. Dark blue pigments were used on pottery and porcelain in ancient China and blue and white patterns on fabric popped up in France in the l8th Century. We love blue and white for home decor, not only for its timelessness, but it is an easy style to match most design themes, is always trendy and if experimenting with color scares you, blue and white will never disappoint.
