Blindsgalore Luxera Roman Shades
Materials & Construction
Our shades are crafted from premium fabrics and high-quality components to ensure a seamless fit and long-lasting beauty.
- Headrail:
- Standard style: Standard shades feature a 6" valance that covers the headrail for a clean, finished look. The fabric is positioned closer to the window for improved light control, and the lined valance helps conceal shade components from view.
- Waterfall shades feature fabric that flows continuously over the front of the headrail for a sleek, modern look with no visible valance. This style may allow slightly more light around the edges compared to Standard shades.
A back valance is included on inside mounts to conceal components from the outside, and unlined or light-filtering shades also include an interior valance to help hide components from the front. - Shade Styles:
- Flat Fold: Smooth, modern front with a clean, uninterrupted fabric appearance. Hidden support ribs on the back help the shade fold evenly and neatly when raised.
- Knife Pleat Fold: Crisp, defined folds created by support ribs sewn directly into the fabric, with the rib pockets positioned on the back of the shade.
- Slat Fold: Raised horizontal bands on the front of the shade for added depth and texture. Support ribs help the shade fold neatly and maintain its structured appearance.
- Hobbled Fold: Soft, cascading folds that remain visible even when the shade is fully lowered. Support ribs help maintain the shape and ensure smooth operation.
- Lining and Accent Options:
- Standard Light Filtering: 75% Polyester, 25% Cotton; 90 GSM; Available in white only.
- Standard Blackout: 100% Polyester. 260 GSM; Available in white only.
- Premium Light Filtering: 52% Polyester, 48% Cotton; 365 GSM; Available in white only.
- Premium Blackout: 100% Polyester. 333 GSM; Available in white only.
- For both liners, cording is visible on the street side
- Decorative Accent: Optional 2.5-inch wide ribbon banding available for a decorative finish.
- Fabric Position:
- Inside Mount: Valance returns cover the sides of the headrail for a clean, finished appearance and are secured with hidden corner connectors.
- Outside Mount: Outside mount shades include standard valance returns for a finished side appearance. Return height is 3½", and Standard shades have slightly shorter returns to allow space for the raised shade stack.
- Fabric Width & Seams:
- Shades over 48" wide will have two discreet vertical seams that are pattern matched
- To keep it looking balanced, we use a "Wide-Center" layout: one large panel in the middle and seamed with two smaller, equal-sized panels on the ends.

- Important Notes:
- Fabric colors may vary slightly between dye lots; we recommend ordering all coverings for the same room at once.
- While these are lined romans, cording is visible on the street side
- Slight wrinkling may occur if shades are left raised for extended periods.
How it Operates
Customize your shades with the lift system that best suits your home, ranging from child-safe manual designs to fully automated smart home solutions.
- Continuous Cord Loop:
- A great option for larger shades. Features a chrome metal bead chain for smooth operation.
- The cord loop is positioned neatly behind the fabric for inside mount and in front of the fabric for outside mount.
- Install Note: The required tensioner must be mounted to the wall or window sill to operate.
- Cordless:
- Shades are raised and lowered by pulling on the lift bar located behind the bottom panel of the shade.
- Design Tip: Make sure you can comfortably reach both the top and bottom of the window.
- Remote Motorization:
- Standard and Power Lift motors offer rechargeable lithium-ion batteries and can be controlled with remotes or motor hubs.
- Plug the USB-C charger (one included per order) into the headrail and any standard outlet. Available with 15-channel remotes.
- Smart Home Integration:
- Upgrade motorization with the Pro Hub for app and voice control.
- Create schedules and monitor battery status from your phone; compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri.
- Supports up to 20 shades per bridge with a wireless range of up to 90 feet.
