Blackout shades and blinds block nearly all incoming light with cellular shade, roman shade, roller shade, woven wood, pleated shade, panel track and skylight choices. Although sometimes called Blackout Blinds, a light blocking blackout effect is best achieved with shades, as they block the most light with a tight-fitting inside-mounted opaque shade. Blackout Shades eliminate maximum light seepage with specially woven material or with the addition of a liner to create a darker space than the subtler Room Darkening Shades. "Every bit as good as my old Hunter Douglas"

Had old Hunter Douglas motorized honeycomb shades that reached their end of life. Instead of paying a contractor to put in new hunter Douglas shades, I gave this a shot. High quality and easy to install. The motorized remote is fantastic and has great range. I didn't get the smart home hub, so I can't speak to that, but going from a system with an IR remote, where you need line of sight, to an RF remote, where you can point it anywhere, it is a huge quality of life improvement! The blindsgalore customer service is always top notch. Thank you!

I have three large windows in an A frame house that are about 20' high at the top. Have never been able to put blinds there and they are south facing hence the sun shines in during much of the day making it uncomfortable sittin in some areas of the room. When these went on sale for almost half price I took a chance on them with the remote controls and double cell for insulation fro heat and cold. They were amazingly easy to install even though the windows were so high. Now with a touch of a button I can raise and lower them at will!!! am waiting for another sale to get some more even though the other windows are not a problem like the ones I just got.
