Finding a Natural Look with Nick and Alicia

A Note From Alicia (@nick.and.alicia)

“Choosing the right window treatments for a space can feel daunting, and it’s a detail that is sometimes overlooked. I was overwhelmed when it came time to order custom drapes for the cottage remodel, but the team at @blindsgalore made the entire process so smooth. We worked together to choose a fabric and style that felt perfect for our cottage and received the most beautiful drapes custom-made for our space. You’ll never regret choosing custom.”

Behind The Scenes

Affordable home design is important to Nick and Alicia. The pair strives to showcase realistic renovation goals and achievable aesthetics to help turn your house into a home. Early in their search from Woven Wood Shades, Nick and Alicia stumbled upon Bali Natural Shades from Blindsgalore. Their enthusiasm was infectious and soon we were all excited about how the natural materials of the shade would add to their cottage.

The results were spectacular. After ordering samples, Alicia eventually decided on the ‘Walpole Cypress’ material for the kitchen area and one of the living rooms. This gorgeous blend of earthy tones easily complimented both of these rooms in the cottage. Not only are they beautiful, but they’re also functional. The Natural Shades strike that perfect balance between letting in just the right amount of natural light while maintaining your privacy.

In the cottage living room, Nick and Alicia have switched it up. To better match the color from our 2016 collaboration, they opted for the more subdued “Faroe Twine” weave of the same Bali Natural Shade to match their lighter, brighter décor. Utilizing the right colors in each room makes a world of difference. The natural weaves offer a harmonious blend of style (and affordability) to prove chic home decor doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag.
