Well Done!

The shades arrived yesterday and installation is simple: drill a few holes, screw in a bracket and tighten the shade into place with a wing nut.
The shades themselves are well-constructed and sturdy. The cordless mechanism operates in a solid manner and the shades can be pulled down or lifted with ease. The linen liner is finished nicely and conforms to the shade like a glove - no buckling. Some points to consider as a customer: I was so concerned about getting shades that wouldn't fit that I erred by being too conservative in my width measurements and the shades ended up being more narrow than needed - but within an acceptable range. So don't be nervous about giving accurate numbers.
My only complaint is with the visibility of the cord mechanisms which can be seen through the shade (or their shadows really). These shadows do not appear in any of the images showcasing the Blindsgalore Luxera Waterfall blinds. Yes, there is a back valance that mitigates the shadows of the mechanism somewhat but they are there. None of the images displaying the blinds give any indication that this is the case although you can see the shadow of the back valance in one or two of the images. This information, had I seen it before purchasing the blinds, would most likely have swayed my decision to go with a heavier less sheer weave. So Ihave taken a star off for this reason.
Still, as I go forward with updating the blinds throughout my house I will continue to use Blindsgalore. read more
