About This Window Treatment

Our Modern Cornice Board is the perfect choice for contemporary rooms.  Its architectural styling adds the finishing touch to your windows while concealing the headrails and hardware of blinds and shades.  Available in dozens of fabric choices, including solid color fabrics and our most popular patterns: Subtle Stripe, Classic Stripe and Country Club.  Our fabric cornice boards are hand-made on an all-wood frame and include upholstery fabric fill, self cording for a finished look, and a matching dust cap cover.  Modern Valances are 16" in drop length.


Note: Measure exact width of window and round to the nearest ½”. Allow an additional 2” to compensate for cornice sides.

  • Width 48" and above will have vertical seams
  • Upholstery fiber fill and decorative fabric are supported by an all wood frame
  • Matching dust cap cover is included
  • Lines of cornice shape will elongate with wider widths
  • Center drop length will vary and will be based on width
  • Cornice boards are made to width ordered to the nearest 1/2"; to have the cornice fit snugly around the window frame, be sure to add 2" to your window casing measurement
  • Made with 1/2" self cording along bottom edge
  • Consider adding an additional 1-6" to each side when paired with treatments such as drapery or blinds and shades
  • This window treatment is produced in Mexico, which may cause a delay on orders with one or two day shipping.
  • Please note: Spacer blocks not available for this product

So happy with this cornice!!

Blindsgalore made measuring and ordering so easy. I did make a mistake (completely my error) and entered a width of 68" for the cornice, when in fact I needed 70". Fortunately, I quickly realized my error and contacted customer service. The agent I spoke with was so courteous and professional. She immediately contacted the manufacturing facility to see if we could update the width. They quickly replied confiming the change. When the cornice arrived (in less than a week and a half as I recall), I was amazed at the quality and craftsmanship! Not to mention over-the-moon happy that the width was indeed 70"! Mounting instructions were clear and my husband had them installed in about 45 minutes. I could not be happier with the Cornice or Blindsgalore.com. I will be a returning customer for sure.
