Good Housekeeping Cellular / Honeycomb Window Shades
Cellular honeycomb-style window shades from Good Housekeeping provide energy-saving insulation in any season, thanks to their cellular design. These cells provide an insulating later of air between the changing outside temperature and the ambient temperature of the room to keep your house warmer when it’s cold outside and keep it cooler during hot weather.
The Good Housekeeping line of cellular shades features exclusive patterns and color palettes to update the look of any room. Plus, the durable polyester fabric is washable and maintains its crisp pleats. Cellular shades block nearly 100% of damaging UV rays that can cause fading of furniture, carpet and fabrics. Traditional pull cords are standard, but Good Housekeeping offers a variety of other choices with safety and convenience in mind such as continuous cord loop, cordless, motorized wireless operation, and top down-bottom up.

These shades are perfect for sliding glass doors. No light gets through and the material holds the heat in and seems to keep the cold out (Michigan). I haven't had them through the summer yet. We had some difficulty with installing. I thought the instructions for using the extenders were lacking - pictures are not always fully explanatory. Also, getting the cord in place was very difficult as there was NO give at the end to allow placement of the cord holders. It took about 2 hours to install, but is successfully in place and doing our sliding glass door justice. Thank you
