A pleated shade is a single piece of soft fabric with the appearance of a cellular shade. The pleats give the shade a slight slat-like effect and no-holes construction provides quality light coverage. Pleated shades are lightweight and are available with a variety of lift options. Complete your look with a blackout or light-filtering liner for additional light control.
Pleated shades lack the honeycomb pockets found in cellular shades which gives them a much simpler design. While pleated shades may not insulate your windows as well as cellular shades, they will provide similar light-blocking features. Both shades are also available with in a variety of colors, textures, and patterns to match any type of décor.
Of course! Pleated blinds are an absolutely appropriate way to cover your window. While they may not provide insulation, their unique design can still add style to your space. We recommend ordering free samples to see your favorite fabrics up close and personal before ordering.
Pleated shades can be considered a mid-range style of window treatment in regards to price. It took a few weeks to get the blinds, but when we got them & put them up...beautiful! Easy to install. Looked fantastic. Cordless was fabulous. But, my error, I needed room darkening. I emailed Blinds Galore and they gave me an address to ship them back (shipping at my expense) and I was given total credit to use on room darkening blinds. Th best part was that the shipping address was a Habitat for Humanity Restore. How awesome is that?! I’m waiting for my new blinds & then plan to purchase blinds for my whole house from Blinds Galore. Fabulous customer service, fabulous product!
