Our custom shutters are built with high-quality hollow core poly resin vinyl and decorative framing for a luxury look.
- Durable Material: Crafted from hollow core poly resin vinyl featuring the textured look of painted wood in a soft matte appearance.
- Panel Width: Individual panels feature a maximum width of 36" For wider openings, a multi-panel configuration (2 or 4 panels) is required to ensure proper stability and operation.
- Room Darkening Performance: These interior shutters are considered room darkening and not blackout. A natural degree of closure within the panels results in light-lines of up to 1/16".
- Visual Alignment: For the best aesthetic, keep louvers slightly open to create a visual perception of “even” light lines.
- Frame Options: Choose from 3-Sided, 4-Sided, or 4-Sided with Sill frames to fit your unique window architecture.
- Hardware: Available with Brass, Stainless Steel, or Painted hinges that perfectly coordinate with your selected shutter color.

Frame Styles

- L-Frame: The standard for outside mount applications with existing window trim.
- Casing Frame: A decorative outside mount frame that adds architectural interest to windows without existing trim.
- Bullnose Z-Frame: An interior shutters favorite for inside mounts, featuring rounded edges for a clean drywall return.
- Trim Frame: Designed for an inside mount with a decorative overlap to conceal structural imperfections.
Panel Configuration
Customize the way your custom shutters open to suit your lifestyle. Configurations are listed from left to right as viewed from inside the room:
- One Panel (Left or Right): A single panel hinged on one side for smaller windows.
- Two Panels (Left or Right): Two panels hinged together to fold toward one side.
- Two Panels (Left and Right): Independent panels on either side for classic symmetry.
- Four Panels: Two pairs of panels hinged together or seperate, folding or opening to both sides (may include a center T-Post for support).
How it Operates
Select the tilt system that best matches your preferred plantation shutters aesthetic.
- Front Tilt: Offers the traditional shutters look. A visible tilt-bar is located in the center front of each panel to connect and operate the louvers.
- Hidden Gear Tilt: Provides a sleeker look for modern interior shutters. With no visible bars, you simply use your hand to open and close the louvers via an internal gear system.

Shutter Panel Components
- Structural Reinforcement: Vertical jambs (stiles) include molded or aluminum inserts to provide additional support and strength.
- Horizontal Rails: Every panel is engineered with a Top Rail and a Bottom Rail for complete structural integrity.
- Louver Design: Panels use Elliptical Louvers to manage light and visibility.
- Internal Strength: Aluminum inserts are added to louvers for reinforcement at 20" intervals when required by the width of the treatment.
- Panel Closure: This unique system eliminates the use of magnets. When panels are closed, a spring-loaded plunger with roller acts as a ball catch to hold the panels in the closed position..
Tilt & Operation Systems
- Front Tilt Bar: This traditional system uses a visible tilt bar attached to the front of the louvers with cufflinks and caps for manual operation.
- Hidden Gear System: A clean, modern operation where the gear assembly is located entirely inside the vertical jamb, removing the need for visible tilt rods.
Divider Rail Specifications
- Divider Rail Function: These rails separate top and bottom louver sections within a single panel, allowing for independent light control.
- Regular Divider Rail: A standard profile used for structural stability and light management.
- Divider Rail Requirements: At least one divider rail is mandatory for panels measuring 66" in height and larger.
- Off-Center Divider Rail: Allows you to adjust where you want place divider rail if you don't want it in center of panel.
Frame Sizes & Applications
Frame styles include light blocks that are 9/16" in width. Sill frames are available for windows with existing sills, measuring 1/2" in height and features a flat bottom that replaces the extended frame leg for a precise fit.

- T-Post: This is used used to separate and hinge multiple panels in wide window openings.
- T-Post Dimensions: Features a 1-1/4" center T post visible width (2-3/8"total width with light blockers), and a total depth of 2-1/16".
- Predrilled Frames: Pre-drilled installation holes are strategically placed Frames for accurate, quick, and clean installation.
- Factory Installed Hinge System: Quick and easy to install. Allows panels to be removed easily for cleaning. Panels open fully for total access to the windows.
