- Divider Rails: For the heights typically required for patio doors, at least one divider rail is mandatory for panels 66" and larger to ensure stability.
Frame Specifications
Our sliding shutters for patio doors are available in multiple depths to fit your specific door handle and trim requirements.
- Closed Louver By-Pass (3-Side Frame): Top track frame is 2 1/4" high; side frames are 1 1/4" wide. Total depth is 5" (6 1/2" with valance).
- Open Louver By-Pass (3-Side Frame): Top track frame is 2 1/4" high; side frames are 1 1/4" wide. Total depth is 8 3/8" (9 7/8" with valance).
- Mounting Advice: These systems are designed for outside mount applications. It is recommended to mount directly on top of existing moldings if they are flat and at least 2" wide.
- Overlap Requirements: Add a minimum of 4.5" to the total width and 2.25" to the total height to ensure full coverage of the glass and trim.
- Installation Note: Due to the depth required for the bypass tracks, we only offer these as an outside mount online; please contact us for custom inside-mount inquiries.
