Materials

  • Headrail, bottom rail, and side tracks, are white.
  • Choose from 3/4″ Single cell or 1/2″ Double cell fabrics. Cellular fabric is made of a spun lace material that is soft to the touch.
  • Rechargeable Solar Motorized Skylights come with a rechargeable battery pack and solar panel that needs to be mounted behind the shade (glass side). Allow an extra 1/2″ of depth.

Control Options

  • Solar Panel helps to extend the life of the battery and times between battery charging. Solar panel performs best with direct sunlight but is not required. It's recommended to fully charge your shade via battery charger once every six months to a year.
  • Charging port is located in the headrail.
  • Solar panel dimensions are 18.7″ x 2″. All mounting hardware included with the solar panel.
  • Motorized Skylights will not operate properly if installed in a completely horizontal application. The minimum recommended slope is 5%.
  • We recommend ordering one battery charger per motorized order. Battery charging kit is not included. Charging cable is 120″ long.
  • Adding an AMP Wi-Fi Bridge allows you to control your window shades from anywhere via the AMP App. Seamlessly pairs with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple Short Cuts, Siri, SmartThings, and IFTTT. Covers a range of 98 feet.

Cleaning

  • Gently wipe shades when closed with a clean dry cloth to keep clean.

Great product and Great customer service

I have to start out by saying MEASURE CORRECTLY. I'm sure I'm not the first, but I didn't measure correctly the first time I ordered. It was all my mistake, but the customer service at BlindsGalore was AMAZING and so incredibly helpful. They got my problem taken care of and the proper size blinds were sent to me quickly. A+++ Customer Service! The blinds themselves are GREAT! I have 2 skylights inside a 20foot high vaulted ceiling and 1 skylight in a 10foot vaulted ceiling. When we bought the house a few years ago there were ugly plastic screens over the skylights that were flat with the ceiling. They gave off a very weird glow during the day that looked like fluorescent lighting so we quickly got rid of the screens. Unfortunately, this caused the heat from the Florida sun to warm up our house. Our electric bills, especially during the summer, were through the roof (pun intended!). So, we finally decided not to suffer through another Florida summer without getting shades for the skylights. These motorized solar-powered shades are AWESOME!!!! I ordered 4 sets of blinds (2 skylights in living room, 1 skylight in kitchen, and one large window in living room over French doors). I love that I can use the same remote for all blinds and can operate all blinds at once or each blind individually. We got light filtering shades for the skylights and they are perfect. They still let in a lot of light, but have blocked out the heat tremendously. Our electric bill dropped dramatically since we installed these! They were a little bit tricky to install, only because I was so high up on a ladder in a rather confined space. But all-in-all installation wasn't difficult and the end result was totally worth the sweat and effort! They are very quiet when operated and they open and close smoothly. I HIGHLY recommend BlindsGalore and these motorized blinds. They've made a customer for life with me! read more
