Blackout Roman Shades FAQ
Absolutely. All products above have a blackout feature available, meaning they are capable of blocking 99% of incoming light. If the feature is not specified in the product name or details, be sure to include a blackout liner when customizing your shade before checkout.
Roman shades are created with large swathes of fabric which will definitely cover your window and prevent some light from entering your room. However, there will be some natural level of transparency which will vary from fabric to fabric. We recommend first ordering samples first to see your selection in person. If you’d like to add another layer of privacy to your shade, be sure to include a blackout liner when customizing.
Roman shades are among the more elegant styles of window covering. If a blackout liner is not already included on your roman shade, adding one will usually cost you less than $200. As usual, final price will determine on your specific product and overall size of your shade. Blindsgalore is happy to provide solutions for every style and budget.
Cordless in included on some of our blackout roman shades, but not all products. However, the majority of our products can be further customized to include a cordless lift. Be sure to select the option when customizing your roman shade.

"Does the job well"
By SMC from New Jersey
A nearby parking lot recently upgraded their security lighting to the point where even with my shades closed my bedroom was bright enough to read a book all night long. These do an excellent job of stopping that light when they're down, and when it's daytime and you want the day light, they take up a minimal amount of the window when opened.View this product
"Nice Roman Shade"
By Tolen from Houston, TX area
I purchased a roman shade for the master bathroom (major renovation). The shade arrived quickly and was very nice. However, the shade would not remain in its position when lowered (it raised on its own approximately three to four inches). I had difficulty installing the shade also (brackets need improvement). I contacted the company and they sent another shade that worked properly (they told me that they did not need the defective one). My wife and I are pleased with the latest shade and the manner in which the company handled the issue with the defective shade. The latest shade really looks nice in our new master bathroom!View this product
