- Make your home green
- Save on energy costs with insulation
- Environmentally sustainable natural fibers
- Reduce reliance on petroleum energy
- Renewable and recycled material
Eco friendly blinds and shades are identified as especially "green" based on material content, recycling potential, and green certifications. Materials such as bamboo, reeds, jute, and real wood are sustainably harvested out of natural elements, reducing harm on the environment. Faux wood blinds are made from specially formulated recycled materials that can be recycled again when it's time to redecorate. EcoGreen shades use environmentally responsible fabrics that are PVC-free, 100% Recyclable, and LEED Certification Friendly, so they can be used as eco friendly window treatments in both residential and commercial settings. There are also earth friendly window treatments that provide energy saving features, such as insulating cellular shades.

customer reviews for eco friendly
By The Dude from Lexington, KY
We bought these blinds because we are not able to put up traditional curtains in our living room due to clearance issues. They were perfect for us in every way! Our only issue was caused due to the fact that we recently replaced our windows and we do not have much available depth for mounting brackets inside the window (about 3/4"). Just a warning, these WILL NOT FIT if you don't have at least an 1 1/2". I had to go and rig up a new bracket to make it work in my windows.View this product

We have a wide bedroom window and live in the Alaska where the spring and summer daylight is long. Purchased patterned black-out roller shade which is does an excellent job. The fit is perfect -- although I get some credit for measuring correctly. Ordered the motorized remote due to width of shade required and it works perfect. Being in Alaska, we were also looking for insulating benefits yet didn't want the window to "sweat" from trapped air between window and shade. We have not seen a problem here either. Overall, It was a great buy as I was even impressed with shipping cost and speed of delivery.View this product
